Miss. Clemea Jonea Donaldson
Clemea Jonea Donaldson was born on Sunday, January 12, to the proud Reverend Samuel and Mae Donaldson. She resided in La Porte, Texas where she attended high school. Clemea received the acclaimed President’s Education Award for outstanding academics. Exceptional academics allowed her to become the recipient of the La Porte Community Scholarship. Her educational background includes: Baylor University in Waco, Texas where she determined her major to be Healthcare/ Pre- Medicine. While attending Baylor, Clemea was the founder of The CORE College Ministry. Currently she attends Kaplan preparing to take the Medical College Admission Test for Medical School as well as The Greater Emmanuel Bible Institute. Clemea values involvement in her church, as the newly appointed Youth Director of New Beginning COGIC under the leadership of her father, Pastor AJ Scott. She enjoys reading, traveling, and motivational speaking.
In 2007 Clemea Donaldson was blessed to be crowned Miss Black Texas USA, a title she held with pride. Throughout her reign as Miss Black Texas, she organized Abstain 2 Gain: An Abstinence Empowerment program for Young Adults. In addition to her above mention honors Clemea was elected mayor of the La Porte Youth Advisory Council. Ms. Donaldson serves in multiple community service affiliations such as; Big Bros Big Sis of America, Meals on Wheels, and Habitat for Humanity. She is also a member of the National Academy of the Church of God In Christ Adjutancy, just to name a few. Recently, Clemea has been working energetically as a volunteer for Youth Exchange, Inc., a faith based ministry centered on teaching Christ and providing interactive activities for youth at Harris County Detention Center, a duty she enjoys tremendously. As of Sunday, November 7, 2010 Clemea holds the title of Ms. Black World Houston she is extremely excited. Clemea is committed to promoting her platform, “Walk With My Mother”: A mentorship program designed to encourage young women to strive for excellence with older women as role models.
Clemea J. Donaldson is fortunate and blessed to her distinction since recovering from a near fatal auto accident in 2005 that left her with amnesia, wheelchair bound, and the IQ of a five (5) year old.
Her ability to positively influence people of all different nationalities and ethnicities are her most extraordinary and unique gifts. Clemea is certain that God is the ultimate source of her strength and the origin of her success. She has been richly blessed by His goodness and His mercy. Her parents, brothers, family, and loved ones are her greatest motivation as well as greatest inspiration.
